In recent years, estate litigation has become more prevalent. Common cases include beneficiaries making claims against the estate believing that the maker of a Will was inappropriately influenced to leave an inheritance, or a disproportionately larger share of the estate, to others. Sometimes, claims are made against the Executor for failing to perform his or her responsibilities with regard to the estate.  Other times, the estate, through its Executor, must bring or defend claims involving creditors or the taxing authorities.

At Pisciotta & Menasha our experienced counsel can fully prepare and handle defenses to lawsuits brought against the executor or the estate.   If a claim is being considered by an Executor or beneficiary, we counsel our clients on the litigation process.   Should the client wish to proceed, we will then develop and litigate the claims.
